A big thanks to all our recent donators!
We are honored to tell you that our work in Victory Life Foundation is almost entirely funded by donations given to us by passionate individuals, like yourself, who care about the community and want to help us create change.
We, at Victory Life Foundation, are dedicated in reaching out to people on both ends of the spectrum. The indigent on one end, and the prosperous on the other. We will identify the underprivileged in our community and assist them in turning their life around. Victory Life Foundation stands for the proverb "If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day; If you teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime." This is what Victory Life Foundation wishes to accomplish. We are not just handing out money or food to the poor and hungry, we want to educate them, help them learn vocational skills, develop a craft or anything that could be their source of income, so that they can start becoming self-sufficient. This way, we are not just filling their empty stomach, but we are filling their brain with knowledge, and arming them with skills that will be a source of pride to them, so that one day, they can become useful contributing members of our society.
Victory Life Foundation is a local non-profit organization whose members are working together to transform the lives of the jobless population of our community. Our network of 15 volunteers (and growing) come from a wide diversity of cultures, ethnicity, and circumstances. We work and collaborate with community and other organizations to Educate, Empower and Enable opportunities for underprivileged. Thus, we reach out to people on both ends of the spectrum. Victory Life Foundation stands for “victory”, and that’s what the organization strives to achieve - more victories or success stories from both ends of the spectrum!
VLF mission is to improve the lives of jobless clients through programs leading to economic and social empowerment. In order to accomplish this goal, the organization administers several vocational education, training, and job placement programs. Each member has something to offer, which determines their passion and focus of volunteer work to their communities and their participation in self-improvement, human understanding and revitalization projects.
Staying out of homelessness and joblessness require marketable skills and employment opportunities. Work is a key component of participation in society and to advance one’s status to become self-sufficient. Employment is not only a means of support for many people; it also defines who they are. For the underprivileged, the attempt to access employment is therefore a struggle for both an adequate income and an identity in society. It is for these reasons that VLF is stepping in to fulfill the proverb “If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime."
VLF is actively participating in community events such as Philippines Disaster Relief Charity, sponsoring women volleyball team, creating neighborhood watch and Old Town Route 66 revitalization projects. VLF works to ensure that the voices of the underprivileged sector are included in city government decision-making and policy setting. Our experience with ‘on the ground’ projects drive our advocacy and lobbying efforts. Members also serve as a link to people on both ends of the spectrum. The indigent on one end, and the prosperous on the other end.
